Nottingham bus war continues.

  27/2/2011

Changes to a number of bus routes are planned in the next month or so as part of the on going "bus war". A summary is below:

Bargain bus 2
The original bargain bus route 99p, has been increased to run every 20 minutes and renumbered bargain bus 2. Each journey runs 5 minutes ahead of Premieres Red 2 departures. Has Cotgrave ever seen so many buses? This time last year Cotgrave had 3 buses per hour, they now have 9.

Bargain Bus 4
Bargain bus 4 has been extended to Long Eaton, and is now limited stop between Nottingham and Sandiacre (only calling at QMC).

Between Sandiacre and Long Eaton, the service runs 5 minutes ahead of Gills Travels service 8.

The first journey arrives in the city at 9:30am and the last return journey is at 16:05. This means the service does not run at the same time as trent bartons commuter xprss service.

Red 5
This new service from Premiere offers a new more direct service into Nottingham from Long Eaton.
