Arriva Derby

News:
Sat 20th:
Minibuses 1372 and 1376 (now at Hinckley) are now withdrawn. Thanks Richard.

Wed 17th:
Lynx (F110 DUG) was on driver training today. Thanks John.

Tue 16th:
Olympian 4640 broke down on the Morledge today, whilst on the 44/45, and was replaced by DAF 4737. Thanks Chris.

Mon 15th:
Dart 2232 is the latest in the revised livery. Thanks Richard.

Wed 26th April:
Citybus 4354 thats been painted into the RAM FM advert livery. More buses (possibly 3 in total) are expected to gain advertising liveries for RAM FM.
Olympian 4641 has been repainted.

Sightings:
Wed 24th:
A minibus (1378?) on the 41!! Thanks John.

Mon 22nd:
Chris reports Citybus 4343 on route 45! Another odd working (although not from Ascot Drive) was Arriva liveried Volvo B10M/Van Hool 3205, on route 440 to London.
Dart 2090 on the 33 and Olympian 4639 on the 38.
Less unusual was 3605 on the 24, 3604, 2998 & 2089 on route 20.

Dart 2227 on the 29, and mini bus 1381 has been partly repainted! Thanks Chris.

Fri 12th:
Chellaston Dart 2236 and Dart 2089 on the Sinfin routes.
Excel 2998 on the Chellaston routes.

Fri 5th:
Dart 2229 on the 109 to Ashbourne.
DAF 4742 on the 37 to Sinfin.
Excel 2998 on the 24 to Oakwood.
1384 on the 41, and Citybus 4349 on the 45!

Thurs 4th:
DAF 4734 on the 37 to Sinfin.
Volvo B10BLE 3604 and Dart 2237 on the 24.
Minibus 1379 on the 36.

Wed 3rd:
Volvo B10BLEs 3604/5 on route 26.

Tue 2nd:
Chellaston Dart 2236 on route 19. 2238 on the 26 to Oakwood.
Olympian 4625 on the 24 to Oakwood (via Perth Street). Citybus 4347 and 4323 on the Alvaston routes (44/45).

Fri 28th April:
Dart 2089 on the Chellaston routes all day. Citybus 4341 made an appearance as an extra on the 68 too, due to traffic causing delays to the usual buses on the route.
MPD 2217 was on the 37 to Sinfin, and DAF 4736 on the 29 to Mackworth.
Volvo B10BLEs 3604 on the 22, 3605 the 26.

Citybus 4336 on the 60 at 16:15 (the 16:10 68A?). Thanks Chris.

Wed 26th:
Olympian 4627 was on the Chellaston routes today. Thanks Richard.

Tue 4th April:
A surprising and interesting acquistion here is 26 year old Bedford YMT/Plaxton Supreme (LTO 701W) which has come from Glenn Ryder, Mansfield. Thanks Chris.

Wed 26th April:
Sold here are Volvo Coaches (R705/706 MNU). The two new coaches have replaced these.
Also Sold are Leyland Tigers (F697 HNU) & (D345YDO), the later going to a Birmingham operator for schools work (it was already painted yellow). Thanks to Chris for this information.

Wed 15th March:
Theres 2 new coaches (YN55 YSE) aswell as (YN55 YSF)! Both are Irisbus Ivec/Plaxton Paragon. They are to replace Volvo coaches (R705/6 MNU). Thanks Duncan.

Glovers

News:
Fri 26th:
Acquired from Dove Valley Poultry, Ashbourne is former Colchester Leyland Lynx (E35 EVW), currently operating in Dove Valley grey.
Sold for scrap is another Lynx, former Hulleys (G43 VME) along with one of the Leyland Tiger coaches. Thanks Chris.

Fri 21st April:
The recently acquired Leyland Swift/Reeve Burgess was orgionally regestered (F957 UME) and came from Staffordshire operator Boydon's of Winkhill, near Leek. It was new to Seamarks of Luton.

Wed 19th April:
Former MK Metro Dart (G106 MOB) has been withdrawn and sold to the Thandai Group, Birmingham. Thanks Chris.

Sat 8th April:
Leyland Swift (MIB 3957) was in Derby today! A new bus for Glovers it seems.

Another arrival here is Volvo/Plaxton coach (P403 MDT).

Fri 5th:
A recent arrival (one of a few??) is Volvo B10M/Plaxton coach (D922 UOD), still in Grey Cars, Newton Abbot.

The slim line Optare Solo here is (MX06 ACV). It is no1 and replaces Minibus (N847 YHH) which has been sold to Abbey Coaches of Hull. Thanks to Ian for this info, and this PHOTO.

Fri 26th:
The second ex Dublin Olympian/Alexander has now arrived, its Dublin regestration being (92 D 126). Once this enters service Metrobus (KYV 800X) will be withdrawn.
Several sales to report: Mercedes VarioPlaxton Cheetah (W44 TMT) has been sold to Plaxton, Anston (dealer). DAF SB220/Ikarus (J25 GCX) to Wealdon PSV, Tonbridge (dealer). Leyland Titan (OHV 713Y) to Hardwick, Carlton for scrap and DAF SB220/Ikarus (J53 GCX) and Mercedes Benz/Alexander mini (K855 ODY) have both gone via auction at Bell Vue, Manchester. Thanks Chris.

Thurs 18th:
The Plaxton Centro has suffered accident damage already! A double decker reversed into the front of it at the depot last Friday and is now at Plaxton, Anston for repairs.
Ex London Olympian (D147 FYM) has also had an accident, suffered at Brimington and this is now withdrawn. The other Dublin Olympian is now due at the end of this month.

Mon 17th:
The latest bus here is former Dublin Bus Olympian (J619CEV). It was registered as (92-D-127) and has arrived via bus dealer Ensign.

Wellglade

News:
Sat 27th:
N+D Minibus 273 has been sold to Doyles, where it is painted up and in service.
402 has re-appeared at Sutton, although it hasn't been repainted. The advert has been removed from the back though for some reason!

Sat 20th:
Frio Excel 199 has gone back to Sutton Junction (Ashfield). 189 is now back on the road, and fitted with Mickleover blinds only (the ones out of fire damaged 220, and more recently 199).
Solo 404 is now in service from Sutton, in Trent Barton livery. The interior has not been refurbished.

Thurs 18th:
Adrian reports that Solos 402 and 446 are in Langley Mill for refurbishment & repaint.
Frio Excel 199 has had its destination blinds removed, and 189 seems to have had them fitted.

Wed 17th:
Excel 162 (S162 UAL) has been reported with McKindless, Wishaw operating in white. Thanks Adrian.

Mon 8th:
Villager Dart 941 is back at Derby after repaint and refurbishment.
Varios 285/9 have been sold to Cedar of Bedford. Thanks Dave.
Darts 914-6 & 935 are thought to be the Darts transfered to Nottingham now that the 18 is operated from Manvers St. Thanks Sam.

Wed 3rd:
Route 18 is now operated from Nottinghams Manvers St garage, not Langley Mill. As a result some darts have transfered. they are thought to be from the P reg batch (913-6?)! If this is the case it means theres now a Barton bus at Nottingham again!

Dart 948 has been painted blue for the "tesco xprss" route. This leave just three Barton buses in the fleet (all Darts). Click HERE for the photo, taken today by John Moore.

Only 2 Villager Darts have been re-fitted & painted so far (927/40). 941 is currently at the paintshop at Langley Mill where 944 is being repanelled. 942/3 are still in service.

Rainbow 3 refurbishment should be completed soon! 250 has been done, 249 should be the next out followed by 247 which is reported at Langley Mill. Looks like 251 will be the last to be done.

Solo 404 is also reported at Langley Mill - for a new front! It could be Suttons first Trent Barton liveried Solo. Its not thought to be branded up for "the nines".

Skyline Excels 209/10 also reported parked up at Langley Mill. Theres also a rumour that many of the MK 1 Excels that are stored have been sold - and will go to New Zealand like the former R1 examples.

Nottinghams Trent buses Solo was repainted in trent barton livery.

Darts 907/17/22 are now with Kinchbus, branded for the Airline Shuttle service.

The route 90 group of services to Sutton (91/2/3) are to be branded "the nines". The current Solos will be refurbished and are set to carry (at this stage) a "rust" livery! The Solos on route 15 are set to be refurbished later in the year too, and possible branding for the 125 when it is cut to Derby to Eastwood.

Fri 26th:
Chris reports: Unibus Lance 370 is standing in for 202 on the D1 today and Excel 234 on the Mickleover.
John reports: Solo 448 on the V2, & 189 on the Mickleover.
Dart 937 and Excel 233 were operating on the sixes as extras, due to delays caused by accidents.
Paul reports: Excel 199 (V199 ERA) on the Rainbow 3, & Scania 666 (FH54 VRY) on the Keyworth Connection.

Thurs 25th:
Darts 949 and Barton livered 945 on the 125 today and Excel 233 and Dart 930 on the V1/V3.
Paul reports: Excel 236 (X236 WRA) on the Rainbow 3.

Wed 24th:
Paul reports: Scania 636 (FD53 WWH) on the Cotgrave Connection Scania 669 (FH05 TKK) on the Radcliffe Line.

Tue 23rd:
Excels 189, 234 & Scania 667 on the Mickleover.
Scania 665 on the Spondon Flyer, Solo 448 & Dart 930 on the Villagers.

Mon 22nd:
John reports a coach (62/3) on the Ilkeston Flyer this morning at 7:50am.
Solo 447 on "the ONE" to Ashbourne. This still displays 107 on the side and back electronic displays. Thanks Chris.
448 was on the Allestree, but later replaced Dart 941 on the Villager. Dart 930 was also on the Villager routes.
Scanias 665 on the Spondon Flyer, 667 on the Mickleover with Excel 234.
Paul reports Solo 441 on the Ruddington Connection.

Sat 20th:
Excel 189 on "the sixes" 6.1/4/X. No point, or destis are fitted to this bus for this route. thanks Jim
Over in Nottingham Long Eaton Xprss Solo 439 was on the Bingham Xprss route and later the 22 to Strathern.
John reports Solo 448 on the X38 and Dart 930 on the Villagers.

Excel 233 on "the one", 665 on the TP, 667 on the Mickleover.

Wed 17th:
Jim reports that a Solo replaced Dart 938 on the 71 to Belper - 938 going onto the Mickleover, before reappearing on the 71 later in the day!
Scania Coach 70 was taken off the Red Arrow (62 or 63 on), & 222 took off the Mickleover (when 938 went on).
Andy reports the following: 63 - Red Arrow, 234 - TP, 252 - R3,
442 - Ruddington Connection,
636 - Radcliffe Line, 665 - TP (Buxton - branded 157 was out), 666 - Cotgrave Connection, 668 - Keyworth Connection, 669 - 22.

Tue 16th:
Sutton Solo 413 was towed to Meadow Rd by Burrows after breaking down in Derby.
Solo 447 on the V2, Scania 665 on the Mickleover, 667 on the Spondon Flyer.

Mon 15th:
Excels 199, 234, Scania 667 and Solo 448 all reported on the Mickleover.
Scania 665 on the Spondon Flyer & Solo 447 & Dart 930 on the Villager.

Fri 12th:
John reports N+D Dart 891 on the Hospital Link service, in place of Vario 276.
Chris reports Citybus 738 on the 17A. Coach 62 on the TP, 63 on the RA, Dart 930 & Scania 667 on the Villagers.

Thurs 11th:
Chris reports Excel 233 on the TP, 234 on the IF and Solo 447 on the X38. Scania 667 was also seen on the X38.
Paul reports: Scania 664 (FN54 AEC) on the Rainbow 1.

Tue 9th:
Chris reports Excels 199, 233/4 on the Mickleover.
N+D Paladin 128 on the Derby College Shuttle, and Darts 930/7 on the Villager routes.
Paul reports: Scania 639 (FD53 WWL) on the Rainbow 1.

Mon 8th:
Excel 233 broke down on Bold Lane this morning with RED Mickleover on the blinds (running out dead for the Mickleover?). Thanks John.
Excel 234, 199 and Solo 447 on the Mickleover today. Thanks Chris.
Darts 936 on the BC, 937 on the V1/3.
In for maintenace at Meadow Rd were Mickleover Excels 221/4, Villager Dart 941 & 189 which has been in for weeks! Sixes Scania 688 was there too, looked to be going through the bus wash.
Kinchbus AL Dart 919 parked at the back of the depot, with not in service on the blinds, so out of use today!
Paul reports: Scania 636 (FD53 WWH) on the Rainbow 5, & 668 (FH05 TKJ) on the Radcliffe Line.

Fri 5th:
Scania 665 and Excels 234 and 199 were on the Mickleover. 665 was later on the RA.
Scania 667 on the RED Spondon Flyer in the afternoon, when Solo 448 was on the 71 to Belper & Excel 233 on the IF.
Over in Hucknall Solo 401 was out on Connect in place of 430. Darts 898 & 902 aswell as Excels 201 and 236 were all out on the R3.
Scania 669 and Dart 931 on the BC, and Excel 253 on Pronto.
Chris reports Route 15 branded Solo 455 on the H1!!
