Arriva Derby: 100% low floor.
| 28/09/2009 The Arriva Derby fleet is now 100% low floor. The last 12 months have seen the arrival of 61 brand new buses, comprising of 18 Optare Solo SRs, 26 Scania Omnicities and 17 Volvo B9 / Wright Eclipse double deckers. The last step entrance vehicles remained in the Derby fleet until the end of July 2009, for use on local school contracts. These vehicles became redundant after this date, due to the school services being registered commercially by a different bus operator, notts+derby. Arriva Derby have also been short listed in the "winning new customers" category of the UK Bus Awards. Targets to increase patronage by 8%, and generate 10% more revenue were surpassed. |
