Excels 151/3 are being checked over at Langley Mill, where N+D Lances 355-7 are now stored and For Sale.
Another former Trent bus gone for scrap recently is Leyland Leopard/Willowbrook 155 (VNN55Y), which was last owned by Milman, Padgate, Cheshire.

It has been suggested that an Optare Excel will be transfered to Derby from Swadlincote soon!
MPD 2218 on the 111 PP&R. Volvo B10BLE 3606 on Oakwoods.
Micheal reports Citybus 4322 (H653 GPF) on route 68 to Melbourne, where a Dart SLF broke down earlier in the day.
John reports MPD 2217 on route 102 (Wyvern Centre to Meteor Centre).
Dart SLF 2226 on the 109 to Ashbourne.
Volvo B10BLE 3604 (V604 DBC) was on route 109 to Ashbourne, whilst 3606 (V606 DBC) was on the Chellaston runs. Strangely enough the full compliment of DAFs seemed to be out on the Oakwood routes.
Citybus (B135 GAU) was on routes 44/45 and Volvo B10BLE 3606 was on the Oakwoods.
Volvo B10BLEs 3604 - Oakwoods, 3606 - Route 20. There was an Alvaston (44/45) branded Olympian on the Sinfin routes.
DAF 4736 on the Sinfins. MPD 2223 on the 69A in the evening, replaced by Dart 2228 after breaking down!
Dart SLF 2236 was on route 36! Volvo B10BLEs, 3604 - Route 20, 3605 - Chellastons and 3606 - Oakwoods. Thanks Rich.

MPD 2224 was on the 26 (Oakwoods) in the evening.
Citybus 4323 (H654 GPH) caught fire whilst on the Sinfin routes. It was extinguished at Derby Bus Station and was towed out the way by Burrows, a number of hours later.
Other problems on the Sinfin routes saw Citybus 4331 brak down, to be replaced by school bus Citybus 4351, which was later replaced by DAF 4737.
Volvo B10BLE 3606 and an MPD were on the Oakwood routes.
Volvo B10BLE 3605 was on the Oakwood routes, later replaced by 3606.
Volvo B10BLE 3604 was reported on the Chellaston routes, along with an MPD.
The Arriva X38 Dart (Burton based) broke down on Friday morning in Derby. It was taken to Ascot drive to be repaired. An M reg Dart, n0 2034 was on the route today.

Dennis Lancet (KAZ 4505) is reported here from Coombs, Weston. This was (A505 FSS). It now joins sister (A506 FSS).

varios 823/8 have been sold. 823 to MK Metro, and 828 to Centrebus. Both will be collected tomorrow (Tues 30/8/05). Excels 168 and 198 may also be sold, as a prospective buyer is visiting Langley Mill tomorrow. Thanks to Graham for this information.
Adrian reports that ex R5 Excels 156/7/8 have left Sutton (Ashfield) to Unitc where they are having new engines and gearboxes, and also being refitted/painted. All seats had been removed, so purhaps new floors too! I was told they were rusty. They are still set to be used for the Transpeak relaunch in October.

Scania 692 is at Scania Nottingham. Several others, well 683-8, 690-1, are at Worksop dealership. 689 is at Langley Mill, and seems to be the only "Belper" Scania that has physically recieved a registration.

Dart 946 is on loan to Derby from Langley Mill - on the X38 again today, whilst 929 was in for repair at Meadow Road.
Notts + Derby Lances 356/7 are now withdrawn at Meadow Road.
Commuter Express Coaches 57/8 have been painted in the new Rainbow 4 style livery.
Adrian reports that Excel 152 (P152 CTV) is now in Notts + Derby livery - others are set to follow. It is thought that they will be used on a new Derby College shuttle, as N+D are taking the contract over from Dunn Line.
Belper Dart 938 has gone in for refurbishment!
Also of note is that the following ex trent buses are now scrapped. National (PRR 449R) has been cut up at Midway and (VRC 610Y) has been scrapped by Morris, Carmarthen. Thanks to Dave for this info.

Kinchbus Vario 828 is now withdrawn and For Sale. its currently stored at Langley Mill.
13 "long" Solos are ordered for 2006, to replace the older and shorter type on the 90 routes from Sutton.
Two more brown Scanias for "the Sixies" Belper routes were reported heading towards Langley Mill today. They are 684/5. None of the recently arrived Scanias for the Rainbow 4 and "the sixes" have registrations yet, they should get 55 plates.
Notts + Derby Safeway branded Lance 355 and the former Connect 1 minibus 49 are now For Sale.
Excels 151/2/3 and 161 are due for refurbishment any time now, for use with Notts + Derby from September. 156/7/8 should follow in October, for use with Trent Barton on the Transpeak route.
Paladins 137/8 seem to be spares at the moment. 137 is thought to be with N+D, but still carries Trent fleet names. 137 appears to remain at Derby and 138 was working from Nottingham on Saturday. Both were at Sutton/Hucknall earlier in the week, where things are a bit chaotic at the moment!
Rainbow 3 Excel 248 now carries the revised livery.
Excels 101 and 225 were working from Dove Holes on Saturday, both on the Skyline route (thanks John).
No more Trent Excels are expected to go to New Zealand, as a number of Readings have gone instead.
Solo 448 is now back at Derby, after being on loan to Sutton last week (used on the 92 alot).
Olympian 715 out on the BF at some point replaced by coach 62?

Scania 667 on the Mickleover. Solo 448 on the Borrowash Flyer after 899 broke down (at 9am) again! 899 was unreliable yesterday too. Peter reports that it was replaced by Paladin 118 on Monday, returned for 1 working, before being replaced by Allestree Solo 464! Unibus Lance 367 replaced this after two runs.

Dart 937 on the Mickleover once again, joined by Scania 665 and Dart 918. The two accident damaged Excels are at Langley Mill for repair.
Scania 667 was on the Spondon Flyer and Unibus Paladin 107 had been on the Belper routes, but was taken off.
Over in Nottingham Iain reports Dart 912 on the Keyworth Connection, and Excel 236 on the R4.
Darts 928 and 937, Scania 665 and Excel 234 were out on the Mickleover. Coach 62 was parked up at the bus station with Mickleover blinds displayed. Two of the branded Excels on the route were 222 and 231. Two of the branded Excels crashed into each other at the bus station last week, which is in part causing the shortage.
Coach 56 was on the Borrowash Flyer earlier today, but the branded Dart 899 was back later on.
Excel 233 and Scania 667 were on route 107 to Ashbourne.
Unibus Paladin 107 was on the R62, and Solo 448 was on the V2.
Connect 1 minibus 49 has been seen around Derby (Uttoxeter road) over the past few days. Anyone know what its being used for?
Dart 946 seems to be on loan to Derby, on the X38 again today.
Chris reports a mix on the Mickleover, coach 56, Solo 448, Scania 665 and Darts 920/1 all making an appearance! Whats happened to all the "more reliable" Excels.
Solo 450 was on the H1.

In Derby Trent buses Dart 931 was on the RED Mickleover and i think it was solo 447 on the R64 (well it wasnt 448).
Paladin 135 was on the Belper routes again, although replaced during the day.

Some Belper Darts were out on different routes today. One was on the RED Allestree (919) and another on the Borrowash Flyer (925).
Scania 665 was on the 107 to Ashbourne and 667 was on the Spondon Flyer. Solo 447 was on the R62 to Ripley.

New Scania 669 was in Derby on the Rainbow 4. Both 668/9 were on this route on Saturday. Derby based Scania 667 was on the Mickleover and 665 on the Spondon Flyer.
Suttons Dart 906 was in Derby on route 92.
Kinchbus had Solo 436 out on the AL, and Trent had Solo 447 on the Allestree and 466 on the H1.
James reports both Trent Barton Coach 63 and Dart 939 on the Transpeak from Derby at 10:35am.
